BACKGROUND

Information: Producers of sound recordings.

Folkraft Record Company, producers of sound recordings and dance instructions, a division of K-W Record Corporation.

After World War II, Frank Kaltman and Dan Wolfert started Folkraft Records in Newark, New Jersey in 1946. Rickey Holden connected with the company in 1951, but continued his professional square dance calling profession throughout North America. In December 1964, Rickey joined Frank as Associate Director of Folkraft and so remained until until 1967, when he moved to Brussels, Belgium, as Director of Folkraft-Europe.

LP-23 RHYTHMIC STUNTS FOR THE CLASSROOM
Favorite rhythmic stunts for elementary school children, with suggested age level for each stunt. The music is a medley of American folk tunes.

SIDE A:
8 bands of music, with an illustrated stunt routine suggested for each. Note: the same music may be used also for other stunts or activities

SIDE B:
A series of six 3-minute routines, each with its own band of music – with short pauses in between, for practice use and for easy location on the LP.
Band 7 is the complete stunt series with cues, so children may work independently before memorizing the sequence.
Band 8 is the complete series without cues, so the stunts may be cued by the teacher or by the children themselves.
