Translation: Little man in a fix

Pronunciation: BIT-tuh man ee KNIH-buh

Common mispelling: "Mann"

Common confusion: Men do not hook elbows.

Common malpractice: "Flying" does not belong in this dance in any but a gymnastic setting and by mutual consent.

Region: Denmark

Source: The dance, although said to be from Himmerland, near Randers, does not occur in the Danish "Folkedanse fra Randerseignen."
