Information: A song.
Dance song performed by Kalyi Jag (Romani for 'Black Fire') Group on 'Karingszo Me Phirav' ('Where I Come and Go'): Romani Folk Songs from Hungary (Hungaroton HCD 18199). A slow Čoček may be danced to it.
If you buy or borrow Kalyi Jag's CD "Karingszo me phirav," you will find that the insert has the text to "Ketri, Ketri" (under the title "Dance song in Balcan Rom style"). The text is written in a modified Hungarian orthography; basically one reads it as if it were Hungarian, but with long and short "a" having the same quality, with some extra graphemes (ph, kh, hh). Also au is like "ow" in "cow" (sort of), and "ou" is like "ow" in English "low." A translation accompanies the Romani text.
