BACKGROUND
Information: A dance.
Translation: Zbirka Starih Narodnih Igara iz Srbije, by Djordje Karaklajic, 1971: "named after Pop Marinko, one of the leaders of the 'Radical rebellion' (radikalska buna) at the end of the last century."
Pronunciation: PAWP ma-REEN-ko
Region: Serbia and Bosnia-Hercegovina
Rhythm: 5-5-5-7, 5-7, 5-7, similar to other Serbian and Romanian tunes: Šokec, Šobolanul.
Note: Seen in the 1970s in Negotin in Šumadija.
