Vladimir Spasojević

BACKGROUND

Information: Vladimir Spasojević, teacher of Serbian dance.


Valadimir Spasojević has been the Artistic Director and Lead Choreographer of Oplenac since 2008.

He was a soloist with Krsmanac, lead dancer of the Serbian National Ensemble KOLO, and Artistic Director of "Španac" in Belgrade (Beograd), Serbia.

Vladimir, an ethnochoreologist, was born in October, 1961 in Valjevo, Serbia, and has been dancing Serbian folk dances since 1974.

In 1979, he began his pedagogical work.

He was a player and soloist with AbraĊĦević Valjevo from 1976 to 1982; a Supervisor with Branko Krsmanović in Belgrade from 1994 to 2005; player and soloist from 1984 to 1994 with KOLO.

Vladimir was Head of the National Players Ensemble in Belgrade in 1994; and the Artistic Director of Španac in Belgrade from 1995 to 1998 and from 2004 to 2006.

He was the choreographer and supervisor of Eostiged ar Stangala, in Quimper, France from 1998 to 2001,

Vladimir was the Artistic Director of Radičević, and Nova Pazova from 2001 to 2003 and has been the Program Director and Choreographer of the International Festival of CIOFF in Belgrade since 2006.
