The Society of Folk Dance Historians each year issues three free and annual periodicals mailed to its members as a free benefit of membership.

- The annual Folk Dance Phone Book and Group Directory includes "Folk Dance Demographics;" an "Alphabetical Listing" of names; a "Classified Listing" that includes callers, teachers, and song leaders; and a "Geographical Listing" that includes multi-national tours and cruises.

- Each annual Folk Dance Problem Solver includes several heavily researched folk dance descriptions and a pair of cumulative indexes of previously published dance notes.
- The color quarterly Report to Members includes "The Last Dance" (obituaries), "Notable Visits and Contributions," "Book & DVD & CD Review," "Reports FROM Members," and "Gatherings," as well as articles and more.
