Santa Barbara Folk Dance Conference 1968

Santa Barbara camp logo Information: A Folk Dance camp (1956-1968).

Under the leadership of Frank Cole, Elizabeth Sanders, and Minnie Anstine, the Santa Barbara Folk Dance Conference had been on the drawing board for about a year before its opening in August, 1956.

Under the able direction of Valerie Staigh, the conference continued until 1968. The camp was transferred to the San Diego State University Folk Dance Conference in 1969.
